PARENTS, SCHOLARS AND STAFF DECORATES KTEP BUILDING!

Bayanihan is a Filipino word that means communal unity or effort to achieve a particular objective. Today, at exactly seven o’clock in the morning the parents, scholars and KTEP staff made a bayanihan to decorate the KTEP building with Christmas symbols.
Everyone is so busy doing their decorations, a group of fathers are busy building the small belen while a group of mothers are also busy decorating their Christmas tree. The materials that they used are very simple and recyclable which can be found in everywhere. This is our way of reducing the garbage in our area.  Most of the materials that are being used are: old newspapers and magazines for making the belen, used straws of soft drinks, unused tie wires, old coconut tree leaves and of course the used anesthesia bottles from our dental clinic. Old of these will be used to create our Christmas decoration.

The finalization of the bayanihan will be done next week (Sunday) and will be posted here in KTEP website.

Below are the pictures taken during the bayanihan….

The anesthesia bottles are tied together to decorate it in the Christmas Tree.
While the others are busy these scholars are also busy in gardening.

PLAYING IS FUN!

KIGA playing lego
KIGA playing cards and reading books
Playing is what the kids like most. It is the activity that took them a lot of pleasure and enjoyment. It is the most awaited time that they are waiting for. Everyday their teacher gives them time to spend in the playroom just to make them fun and relax after their class lessons. They are so much excited to finish their writings just to experience the happiest moment of time. They want to play all day long. Happiness is what we see in their faces when they are playing. It feels good when we hear them laughing and see them smiling.

KIGA MADE THEIR FIRST CHRISTMAS STAR!

That is why our kindergarten children are busy helping their teacher Maam Rose in decorating their class and play room by bringing lanterns and making paper stars that reminds us all that Christmas is coming!

After their activity the children are off to play in their play room and some of them got tired and took some rest in their colorful cozy Dream World!

82nd WATER PROJECT IS FINISH!

This man pump his first container of water from the hand pump.

Even in a remote and mountainous part of Davao particularly in Calinan where water is so precious the KTEP Water Team worked hard and made their best to burst the water out of the ground to give the villagers a potable water to drink.

And finally, after some difficult days of drilling; the 82nd water project of KTEP and 18th joint project of Rotary International, Rotary Clubs of Montelimar (France), Ravensburg (Germany) and KTEP is already finish.

3 NEW SCHOLARS ARE ACCEPTED!

One of our new scholar strikes a pose with her mother in front of their house.

"Bless and Thankful", "A big Christmas gift" are the words that the parents of our three newly accepted scholars uttered when I went personally in their houses to tell them the good news.

This youths waited for their opportunity and chance to study in college for almost a year and on November 10 this month they are officially part of the German Scholars. They did not wasted time and enrolled themselves for the second semester. Teary and speechless are the 3 scholars as they received the names and addresses of their new sponsors.

Happy and full of hope as we visited Jenifer in their house!
In behalf of our e newly accepted scholars, Jenifer, Jeffrey and Tarah our never ending thanks to Dr. Joe Heider, Herr Karlheinz and Anita Kugel and Herr Helmut Tanner for their continuous support to the Filipino youths in their studies and for trusting and believing in KTEP Projekt!
Thank you so much!
Jeffrey took a pose full with pride!

FROM COCONUT SHELLS TO CUTE PIGGY BANK

Above is the sample product of our new piggy bank product.

Christmas season is coming and so, we came up to the idea of making piggy banks made of coconut shells as our recent project. It can be a great Christmas gift for all of us especially to our loved ones. Everyone will be expecting to receive gifts from our parents, from our godfather and godmother and even from our friends. Yes, it takes time to make but surely be appreciated by the one who receive it.

Free Dental PLUS Free Medicine!

Not only dental assistance does the KTEP dental offers to the people but also free medicines after they undergo treatment. A great news was transmitted to us by our founder Aurora that Mr. Michael Reiner of Volksbank Tettnang wanted to help our Dental project by donating an amount to be used for buying medicines needed by the patients. In this way, there will be continuous free medicine for the patients.  Through his act of kindness, all our less fortunate patients don’t need to worry where to get the money needed to buy the medicines after they undergo treatment.

The dentist assistant is handling the medicine to the child after the dentist pulled out his tooth.

His early Christmas gift surely helps the patients especially the children in our community. Our endless  THANKS to Mr. Reiner for his kindness and support to less fortunate people in Toril.

KTEP Building: Ready to be painted!

Painting a building is a way of preserving it and protecting it from distortion. When the Musikverein Kressbronn had their first Philippine tour here in the Philippines one of their members Architect Bene Rapp noticed that the KTEP building needs paint.

When he came back to Germany he looked for ways where he can get assistance to so that the KTEP building will be painted and the STO AG Company answered it.

As of the time, our carpenter has finished cleaning and fining the exterior part of the building and is ready for painting. Thanks to the big help of Architect Bene Rapp and STO AG company the paints that they donate will help preserve and make the KTEP building lasts for decades…
